The fruit is sourced from our own De Bortoli vineyards plus another vineyard of a long standing supplier of Botrytis Semillon to us.
Vintage Conditions:
Good rains during January initiated an early botrytis development, this was followed by a warm dry February and March which halted the progress until the grapes were ripe and the timing of showers of rain just prior to Easter re-ignited the botytis with harvest starting mid April and progressive harvesting of fruit over the next 4 weeks allowed us to pick each vineyard when at its best for botrytis flavour and sweetness.
Winemaking:
A wine that can be enjoyed just on its own or with a fabulous cheese and fruit platter. But also try with freshly shucked oysters or Foie Gras.

Alc/Vol: 10% pH: 3.66 TA: 7.3g/L
Cellaring:
This harmonious wine has great ageing potential of over 15-20 years.

About De Bortoli
The third generation of the De Bortoli family, the children of Deen and Emeri De Bortoli, are the custodians of De Bortoli Wines today. Managing Director Darren De Bortoli also oversees the winemaking, alongside Leanne De Bortoli’s winemaker husband Steve Webber. Leanne and Steve manage the Yarra Valley Estate winery and vineyard while Kevin De Bortoli is Company Viticulturist and youngest son Victor De Bortoli is Export Director. Every family member has pride in and a commitment to the business, alongside a passion for great wine and a sense of responsibility about leaving a legacy for future generations.
