Bright pale green colour. Juicy and fragrant with honeysuckle, lemon curd, and mineral. Lime juice, apple, beeswax, mineral, textural, soft acidity. European style Riesling with some texture and flavour is one of our very favourite food wines. A little residual sugar and balanced acidity seems to wash pan fried Whiting down quite well.
Drink now or keep for 2-5 years in a good cellar.
The third generation of the De Bortoli family, the children of Deen and Emeri De Bortoli, are the custodians of De Bortoli Wines today. Managing Director Darren De Bortoli also oversees the winemaking, alongside Leanne De Bortoli’s winemaker husband Steve Webber. Leanne and Steve manage the Yarra Valley Estate winery and vineyard while Kevin De Bortoli is Company Viticulturist and youngest son Victor De Bortoli is Export Director.
